Notes

The microfilm index lists archival holdings of the Paul Sacher Foundation that are available for consultation in the reading room, either on analog microfilm or in digital form.

A large part of the collections has not yet been fully processed and does not appear in this directory. Information on further holdings can be obtained using the contact form on the Paul Sacher Foundation website.

Some materials are listed as “not filmed” in the microfilm index. These entries indicate existing documents that have not yet been transferred to microfilm.

The index provides only brief information on the individual documents (work titles with material types for music and text manuscripts, name lists for correspondence, etc.). More detailed information can be found in the available online inventories. We recommend using these finding aids in conjunction with each other.

German terminology is used throughout the index. A German–English glossary of key terms for the description of music manuscripts can be found  here
